A Homemade Thanksgiving

When I was a kid, I loved to wake up Thanksgiving morning, go into the kitchen, and smell that delicious turkey baking.

The herbs in the stuffing were fragrant.

Pumpkin pie scent was lingering from the day before.

Those memories are so fresh yet in my mind, I knew I wanted my children to have the same ones.

So I make a big Thanksgiving meal every year. I love doing it. And for the last 11 years, I have made everything completely from scratch and with real ingredients.

I took notes, tried different recipes, and about 4 years ago, I perfected my Thanksgiving meal and routine.

I decided to make a printable and a blog about it, so you can have your own Homemade Thanksgiving all planned out for you.

Real food, real ingredients, with all the work spread out so you aren’t super stressed on Thanksgiving Day.

I even made a shopping list. Before you leave the house to go shopping, just check to see what you have on hand already and what you need to buy.

I also included a list of our favorite Thanksgiving read alouds, most of which we’ve been reading for 10+ years.

I hope it helps you make your own Thanksgiving memories with your family!

If you’d like to print your own copy, just click here to download the file. It’s a bit long, so give it a few minutes - but it should open in another window and you can print from there. Enjoy!
